Hello, and thank you for visiting my website.
My name is Ben Ivey. My son Jackson Rey and beautiful wife Claudia welcome you. To tell you about me, here we go. I am a native of Tornillo, TX, in El Paso County. I am a graduate of Cathedral High School in El Paso. I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX in 1995 and then attended Texas Tech University, receiving my M.B.A. in 1997 before receiving my law degree from Texas Tech in 2001. I began working for the 34th Judicial District Attorney's Office in El Paso upon receiving my law license, working there for nearly 3 years. It was a very rewarding experience and the experience there taught me things that were so valuable. I met so many people and learned so much that made the experience such an enjoyable one.
I then decided to go on my own, going into private practice. That was in 2003. In my career, I have tried more than 35 cases in front of a jury.
Defending the Constitution and individual liberty is something that should be considered precious to all of us and is one of the most important things to me. Although respectful (and a major beneficiary, as we all are) to law enforcement, I believe that individuals in this country are absolutely free individuals. We have a right to be free from unnecessary search, seizure, and intrusion from government officials. Allegations of illegal acts and coercion and intimidation by law enforcement officials and special interest groups are very serious, and are things that will be scrutinized and defended upon to my fullest abilities. In my humble opinion, freedom is not to be tampered with. Not by the legislature. Not by special interest groups. Not by law enforcement. Not by anybody. If you have a case or situation that compromises these liberties, please contact my office or contact your government representative. I will be happy to assist you.
Sincerely,
Ben Ivey
